Throwback Thursday – Vintage Cars

Since 2 of our biggest clients are car buffs, Larson Automotive  and Vern Fonk (auto insurance) we thought we’d feature a theme of vintage car commercials this week.

This set of 4 videos features a hilarious commercial for the 1969 AMC Rebel, a 1956 Ford that is tailored to “the housewife” as it does most of the work for you, a look at the beautiful 1955 Cadillac, and then and AMC Pacer.

What happened it the automotive industry that took us from the beautiful cars of the 50s and 60s, to the cars of the 70s?  If anyone out there knows of one good reason for the AMC Pacer being created I’d love to here it.

This is a bonus commercial produced by Chevrolet, that has nothing to do with cars. It’s funny and Chevy made it, so I think I can get away with putting it in.

It seems that even in 1937 we had an obsession with funny cat videos. Some things never change.
